Witcher 3 Review Embargo Lifts Today

The review embargo for the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is supposed to lift today, a full week before the game’s release, according to a post on Reddit. The exact time is 7 AM PST, for those of you living on the west coast of the USA. If you are living in a different region, we have a timetable with different time zones prepared for you below.

Mutagens

Mutagens are a special type of item in the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt; they are the genetic material of slain monsters. You can use them to improve your character in one of two ways:

Scaling up the power of your active skills
As the main ingredient in mutagen decoctions.

Monster Trophies

As a trained and mutated monster-slaying machine, you will be killing a lot of monsters in the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Monsters both big and small are your prey, slaying them will let you take their heads as trophies as a show of your skill or to complete a quest. Witcher 3 Pre-ordered Over 1 Million Times

CD Projekt RED has revealed today that pre-orders for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt exceed one million copies. It is not known how that figure is broken down between the platforms that the game will launch on, and how that number is divided between the digital and physical copies of the game.

“We’ve crossed the 1 million pre-order milestone and it’s all thanks to you guys! We would like to thank all the gamers for their trust and support” said Marcin Iwiński, co-founder, CD PROJEKT RED. “This is the last stretch and we’re pushing hard — over the last two weeks, we’ve increased performance on all platforms and started working full speed on the expansions, Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine” concludes Iwiński.

In related news, CD Projekt RED has recently released possibly the last trailer for its upcoming RPG, showing off the game’s combat and monsters.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released on May 19 for the PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4.

Horse Guide

With the alleged vastness of the world in the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, horse travel will likely play a large role in getting around. Traveling on horseback is not required of course, but can make a world of difference when covering large distances between quest areas. New Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Trailer is on a Rage

CD Projekt RED has released the latest trailer for the upcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Titled “Rage and Steel“, the trailer focuses on the gorier aspects of the game. The two-minute video has Geralt decapitating and dismembering various foes, all in gruesome detail. A lot of monsters can be seen, some of which have not been feature before. The trailer also gives us a short glimpse of the game’s female protagonist, Ciri, and one of her magic abilities. The full video can be seen below.

Witcher 3 Signs

Signs are magic spells in the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. There are five signs in the game – Aard, Igni, Axii, Quen and Yrden, each with a unique effect and upgrade tree. Signs are not a substitute for weapons, but they can be very helpful if you upgrade and use them properly. Using signs will drain your stamina, so keep an eye on your stamina bar whenever you use them. You do not want to run out of stamina during a fight. Fortunately, you will receive a bonus to your stamina regeneration whenever you upgrade a sign skill.

Monsters Trailer Released

CD Projekt RED has released a trailer focusing on the monsters that will be present in the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The 4-minute-long video features members of the development team and delves into the process they went through when designing the game’s fantastical creatures. There are also a few monster-slaying tips to be found, illustrated by short clips from the game itself.

Witcher 3 Quests

The quests in the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will not be activities performed simply to pass the time; they will be integral to the game’s story. They will help you get to know the game’s characters and its expansive world, leading you on a journey of danger and discovery across the Northern Realms.
